Sensi is such a wonderful and quaint hotel with so much going for it! The staff are all wonderful people who go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. The rooms are spacious, clean, lovely, and comfortable. We had the ocean view with a private patio which was beautiful and there were always cows out to pasture in the distance and beautiful sunsets! Also, the hotel is a 30 minute drive from Sete Cidades which is where we spent most of our time! They’re FOOD and DRINK! Fabulous. They have a delicious continental breakfast which includes the baked good of the day and they have a menu for additional breakfast staples. Their dinner is amazing, we had every dish they offered and loved all of it! They also have wonderful deserts, including the homemade butter cookies that are served with the tea and coffee (they wouldn’t give me the recipe though 😭). And lastly their cocktails are just wow! The Volcano is a must order, and the Monkey Man is so good if you like whiskey! We are sad we didn’t take advantage of the cocktail class they offer. The massages are some of the best massages we have ever had, the masseuses actually read your body and figure out your meridians, pressure points, and misalignments and tailor the massage to what your body is telling them! And lastly the private pool area is very nice with a lovely sauna and steam room. You have to book this for 1 hour increments though, so you have to plan ahead a bit if you want to enjoy the pool area.

Sensi is an amazing place in a stunning island. The owners are very caring and you can see how they love that piece of paradise. We had the chance to speak with them about their children, their live before Sensi, etc. They were also very helpful when we needed them: one of my tyre exploded during a bike tour and they came to "rescue" me, to drive me safely to the hotel with their car. The staff is also amazing: very sweet and nice in any moment of the day. A big thank you to all of you too. Our early morning flight was delayed by 14h so we decided to go back to the hotel to enjoy our day. They were once again very kind: handing over towels for the swimming pool and the bathroom, but also offering a capuccino when we came back. About the place, so much to be told. But in a few words, well you really feel like home. But on top of that you have a stunning view on the Atlantic and you can watch sunset every night. Rooms are great too as you don't feel like you are in an hotel. Same for the swimming pool (huge one) as nobody is "reserving" a seat leaving a towel at 8am prior to breakfast (we all know how it goes in bigger hotels). Here you have places for everybody so you just have to relax. Also, the restaurant is very good, one one of the best I had at an hotel. I think we tried all the dishes during our stay and we can still reminder all of them! The bar is also great with insane cocktails! So, all in all: amazing!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly and helpful staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the food. Each meal was delicious, showcasing a fantastic variety of local flavours and ingredients, prepared to perfection. It was a delightful culinary journey that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit. The spa facilities at the hotel were exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the deep tissue massage, which was truly perfect. It was evident that the therapists are highly skilled and attentive, making it a very rejuvenating experience. The spa itself provided a serene and inviting atmosphere, contributing to a profound sense of relaxation and wellbeing. Overall, our stay was memorable and enjoyable. The combination of delicious food, excellent spa services, and the warmth and professionalism of the staff made our visit truly special. We left feeling refreshed and grateful for the experience. We look forward to returning and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway in the Azores.

We love this place; it's the third time we've come! The first time we stayed, I'd written this: " It was the most lovely, warm environment. There we enjoyed the Turkish Bath, terrific breakfasts, and delicious dinners, as well as the bar, and got lots of help from the owners who gave us tips on where to go, translated Portuguese phrases I wanted to learn to say, made phone calls for us when we needed to swap rental cars (because ours had bad brakes!). It was the best trip I'd taken in years and hope to return soon to the Azores, stay longer, and return to the Sensi." The owners are absolutely delightful; the staff is truly wonderful; the food and drinks are excellent; the place -- and location -- are gorgeous. I would not think twice about recommending the Sensi very highly -- and have! The accommodations are certainly luxurious and comfortable (the mattresses are very good; the pillows are lovely), and the rooms are very clean.

EVERYTHING! The location is absolutely perfect to balance hikes and hot springs. The sauna, steam room and indoor heated pool was phenomenal for relaxing after a long days of hiking. The onsite property restaurant is incredible. Especially Raquel our waitress, she provided several great recommendations. The included breakfast in the morning has everything you could want. Highly recommend splurging for a room with the private pool on the deck. Made enjoying the sunsets even more wonderful and so refreshing after a long day of exploring. Would stay here again in a heart beat!
